Jewelry

Any iconic look isn’t complete without the perfect finishing touch: jewelry. How you accessorize through different types of jewelry is how you express your personal style while tying an ensemble together. Plus, jewelry truly makes the perfect gift.

I love a sleek gold necklace when I’m wearing something bold and, in contrast, a chunky and colorful bracelet when I want to spice up my style.

Types of High Fashion Jewelry

Different Types of Gold

One of my favorite types of accessories falls into the broad category of gold jewelry. This warm metal is possibly the most famous material used in jewelry. You can go bold or simplistic, but you can’t go wrong.

When shopping for everything from engagement rings to brooches to cufflinks, you’ll need to consider what type of gold you’re looking for:

For example, fine jewelry might be:

White Gold: 75% gold and 25% alloy (usually nickel and zinc)

Yellow Gold: pure gold is 24k, but anything lower has an alloy)

Rose Gold: 75% gold and 25% copper)

Golden Gift Ideas

If you want to incorporate more gold pieces into your collection, I recommend starting with some basic yet popular pieces. Delicate and thin gold necklaces are high in demand and absolutely perfect for layering. A thin gold pendant necklace is a must-have for layering.

Chunky hoops are all the rage and a perfect piece to include in your outfit. You can go big or small when it comes to chunky hoop earrings; it’s totally up to you. I recommend having a staple pair of gold huggies as they can go with any ensemble. Even more stubble than huggies are stud earrings, which feature a small stone in metal.

Silver

Tied in first place with gold for “the most popular jewelry material” would be silver. This cool and classy metal pairs well with blues, grays, and whites but can go with any color you’d like.

I love the combination of silver and precious gemstones, like diamonds and emeralds. You can never go wrong with silver and Swarovski stones. The stones enhance the bright whites in the silver metal and really make your piece of jewelry pop.

Another one of my favorite silver pieces is a solid silver bangle, especially if it has intricate details. You can wear a piece like this on its own or pair it with other bangles, maybe with a bit more color. Add in luxe drop earrings, and you’ll shine as bright as a diamond ring.

Stonework and Beaded Pieces

One of my favorite ways to incorporate naturality and our beautiful planet into my look is through gemstones. I feel that this is a way that I can bring a stunning and precious piece of earth into my ensemble and daily life, as dressing consciously is very important to me.

Gemstones are stunning but can take on even more meaning when you shop for your birthstone. For example, those born in November might want to treat themselves to a topaz or citrine necklace. February birthdays might delight in amethyst jewelry pieces.

April is the month associated with diamonds. However, since diamonds are a little pricey, celebrate with cubic zirconia instead.

There are so many ways that you can bring natural stones into your outfit via jewelry. Any sparkling new arrival will be eclectic and eye-catching — just like you!

Small But Mighty: Best Sellers

While jewelry may not be the first thing one notices about your attire, it definitely has an impact. Adding small details to your ensemble through jewelry elevates your entire look. Since it is perhaps my favorite way to accessorize, you can always find me raving over jewelry.
